Frequently Asked Questions
If your child lives in Hot Spring County and/or attends a school in Hot Spring County, there is no cost for after school tutoring and/or ACT test prep. The school districts involved include: Bismarck, Glen Rose, Magnet Cove, Malvern, Ouachita, and Poyen. GED test prep is also available to individuals within Hot Spring County. If your student wants/needs individual tutoring, arrangements can be made for an hourly fee.

What is the cost?
We are open from 3:30-7:30 Monday-Thursday after school. We also have flexible individual tutoring times available by appointment. We work hard to meet the demands of your busy schedule and the educational needs of all students.

What are your hours of operation?
No problem. If you want individualized assistance, we can make contact with you child’s teacher to get a better idea of where they may need additional help. We will also take them through a variety of assessments to be able to create a program designed to meet their specific needs.

Students learn in a variety of ways and need a variety of learning opportunities for success. We offer students an opportunity to engage in blended learning situations. Students will participate with tutors, peers, and in online activities to maximize their learning potential. Online activities make learning more fun and engaging. This may include educational games, practice exercises, puzzles, flash cards, and much more. When students work on certain educational activities, tutors are capable of generating reports to gage progress and customize lessons
What other opportunities are there?
Our facility is open Monday through Thursday 3:30-7:30. You are welcome to come by any time during normal operating hours. Students can come in for assistance any day necessary.

Are Donations to Legacy tax deductible?
Yes. Because we are a non-profit organization with 501(c)(3) status, donations made to Legacy Academic Mentoring Program are always welcome and tax deductible.
